Abstract
A method for producing mono-substituted dichlorosilanes selectively with a high yield from dichlorosilane is provided. According to this method, dichlorosilane and a specified compound having a double bond at .alpha.-position are reacted in the presence of a catalyst which is a homogeneous complex of ruthenium, rhodium, nickel or platinum, and a phosphine compound, or is a ruthenium chloride.
