Abstract

The present invention relates to a method of inducing a response dopamine-like in an animal having impaired cardiovascular and renal functions, comprising administering to said animal an effective amount of a compound having the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R is a secondary or tertiary alkyl radical having from 3 to 7 carbon atoms, and their salts with nontoxic organic and inorganic acids. In particular, the present invention relates to a method of treating cardiac and renal failures comprising administering to a patient suffering therefrom an effective amount of a compound having the above-identified general formula, in suitable pharmaceutical preparations.
