Abstract

There are prepared 4-hydroxy-isophthalic acid bis (3- or 4-picolyl-amides) of the formula (I) ##STR1## where R' is H or an aliphatic or alicyclic hydrocarbon group with 1 to 16 carbon atoms, R'''' is 3-pyridyl or 4-pyridyl, R''' is H, Cl, NO.sub.2, or --OCH.sub.3, R'' is an aliphatic or alicyclic hydrocarbon group with 1 to 8 carbon atoms with the exception that when R'''' is 3-pyridyl and R' and R''' are both H, then R'' is an aliphatic or alicyclic hydrocarbon radical with 3 to 8 carbon atoms. The compounds are useful in inhibition of blood platelet aggregation.
