Abstract
Chlorine-containing thermoplastics, especially polyvinyl chloride, can be stabilized against thermal degradation by incorporating therein synergistic mixtures consisting of (a) a mercaptan of the formula R(CH.sub.2 SH).sub.2, wherein n is 2 to 4 and R represents a n-valent aromatic radical, and (b) an epoxidized plasticizer.
