Abstract
This specification relates to novel oxymolybdenum dialkyldithiophosphates having the generic formula [(RO).sub.2 PS.sub.2 ].sub.2 Mo.sub.2 O.sub.4, wherein R is a hydrocarbyl group having 1 to 30 carbon atoms. It also relates to the use of these compounds in lubricants as extreme pressure, antiwear, and oxidation-inhibiting additives.
