Abstract
An improved oxygen scavenger for aqueous mediums is disclosed which comprises hydrazine-free solution of hydroquinone and mu-amine. Representative examples of mu-amines include: aminomethylpropanol, triethylenetetramine, diisopropanolamine, secbutylamine, monoisopropanolamine, ethylenediamine, dimethylaminopropylamine, monoethanolamine, dimethyl(iso)propanolamine, methoxypropylamine, and diethylaminoethanol.
