Abstract

In a spindle assembly of a spinning or twisting frame, the improvement consisting in inserting, between the stator and the rotor of the spindle assembly, braking members made of an antifriction material in the form of arcuate blocks or sectors which act also as spacers for the revolving members (usually spheres) which match the stator with the rotor. The device solves the problem of providing a braking action for providing the thread tension without problems of overheating the thread being spun.
