Abstract
An improved support comprising (A) a base plate and (B) an adhesive layer formed on the surface of the base plate is provided for making a printing plate from a liquid photosensitive resin. The improvement resides in the inclusion of a tertiary phosphite or tertiary phosphine in the adhesive layer. The improved adhesive layer acts to give reliefs of a good shoulder shape, and this action can be retained over long periods of time. In an alternative embodiment, an activating layer (C) containing a tertiary phosphite or tertiary phosphine is formed on the adhesive layer.
