Abstract
The invention concerns a device for laterally clamping workpieces to be machined to a machine tool and in particular for clamping awkwardly-shaped or high workpieces. The device is characterized in that it comprises at least one slide provided with an anchoring element movable in translation in the slide by the thrust exerted by pressure-applying means, the active part of the anchoring element, projecting from the front face of the slide, having at least one rigid abutment zone and a slightly flexible zone.
