Abstract

The invention relates to a positive active material for an electric cell with a non-aqueous electrolyte. Said active material is constituted by an oxyphosphate whose formula is Cu.sub.n O.sub.p (PO.sub.4).sub.2,n being an integer greater than 3 and lower than or equal to 6 and p being equal to n-3. Application to lithium primary cells.
