Abstract
The present invention relates to the use of amorphous, dust-like silicon dioxide emission products from electro-thermic manufacture of ferrosilicon and/or silicon as fillers in refractory compositions. The advantages obtained from the use of the products include improvement in mechanical abrasion resistance, heat stability, and electrical, thermal and sound insulation.
