Abstract
A C.sub.4 olefinic cracking cut is subjected first to catalytic polymerization and then to fractionation: the resultant isobutene dimers and trimers fraction is hydrogenated, while the remainder is alkylated. The resultant product is a gasoline of high isooctane content.
