Abstract

A novel product comprising nitrogen-containing polysaccharides is produced by bringing a culture product of fungi Basidomycetes into reaction with an aqueous ammoniacal solution at a temperature of 100.degree. to 250.degree. C. The product is remarkably effective in controlling various plant viruses.
