Abstract
This invention relates to pigmentary hardener-containing curable silicate compositions having improved water resistance, wherein the pigmentary hardener has the formula M.sub.x M.sub.y 'O.sub.z where M is a divalent or trivalent metal ion, M' is an ion of a metal from Groups III, IV or VIB of the Periodic Table of Elements, provided M and M' are not the same metal ion, x is 1 or 2, y is 1, 2 or 3 and z is an integer the value of which satisfies the oxidation state of the pigmentary hardener.
