Abstract

A liquid crystal display screen of the twisted nematic type comprising a liquid crystal having a dielectric relaxation and a high dispersion of .epsilon..sub.11 is used in a display device with a dual-frequency control. This structure enables the implementation of matrix-multiplex display devices having large pluralities of lines which must be successively scanned.
