Abstract
Nonaqueous secondary cells utilizing vanadium oxides having the nominal stoichiometry VO.sub.2+y ; y greater than or equal to 0.0 and less than or equal to approximately 0.4 as the active positive electrode material and lithium metal as the active negative electrode material are described.
