Abstract
A sprinkler, the intrinsic motions of which are powered by the flow of fluid therethrough emanating from an external source of fluid under pressure. Means contained within the sprinkler cause the expulsion of fluid under pressure, first from one tangentially mounted nozzle, and next through an opposed but commonly aligned tangentially mounted nozzle. The torque generated by the alternating expulsion effects the rotation of the sprinkler first in one angular direction, and then in an opposite angular direction. Buffing means is provided to limit the speed of angular rotation.
