Abstract

An oral composition for the care of the mouth and teeth which contains as an active ingredient, a compound of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, which may be the same or different, are hydrogen atoms, alkyl groups having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl radicals, aralkyl radicals or aromatic or heterocyclic groups, whereby both R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 can be substituted. The compositions of the present invention inhibit plaque formation, paradentosis and to some extent caries.
