Abstract

An apparatus for adjusting the optimal seat position in a vehicle for a particular individual and for particular driving conditions is disclosed. A computer with a memory is programmed with specific vehicle parameters and at least one computer program and includes an entering device for entry into the computer of specific data about the individual user and the driving conditions. The computer supplies output data which may be used for manual adjustment of the seat position or which may be connected via a control device to servomechanisms which automatically optimally position the seat for the individual and the driving conditions.
