Abstract
A method of controlling the growth of microorganisms by using a compound represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen or methyl, R.sup.1 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, or R and R.sup.1 can collectively be a cyclic alkyl group of 5 carbon atoms.
