Abstract
A cosmetic base material which consists of a synthetic saturated aliphatic hydrocarbon having 24 to 36 carbon atoms, wherein the proton ratio of methyl group to methylene group, that is, CH.sub.3 /CH.sub.2, within the hydrocarbon chain is in the range of from 0.25 to 0.6 and the pour point is in the range of from -55.degree. C. to 10.degree. C.
