Abstract

A photographic element particularly for the color diffusion transfer process having a support and an image pattern receiving layer which comprises a polymer containing at least 10 mole percent of a repeating unit of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each represent an alkyl group, an aralkyl group, a cycloalkyl group or a cycloalkylalkyl group; and X.sup..sym. represents a monovalent anion.
