Abstract
A photographic camera apparatus is provided with an exposure control system which includes a single photodetector, a pair of separate light paths arranged to transmit scene light onto the photodetector's surface, and a blade apparatus all of which cooperate in a pre-exposure mode to transmit scene light along one light path to provide a photodetector output which is utilized to measure and indicate the presence of a low scene brightness condition requiring the use of an artificial light source to illuminate the scene, and thereafter cooperate, during an exposure mode, to transmit scene light along the other light path to the photodetector's surface and utilize the photodetector's output in a manner to control the amount of exposure delivered to film located within the camera.
