Abstract

An oversized connector providing an optical fiber bonded in a bore hole is machined about the center axis of the optical fiber to properly center the optical fiber in relation to the centerline of a receptacle for the connector containing another optical fiber whose central axis is also in line with the centerline of the receptacle.
