Abstract

The invention contemplates a special-purpose lipstick or the like container of the propel-repel swivel variety wherein an unused charge of cosmetic substance, such as a lipstick pomade, (a) is necessarily positioned and retained in a sufficiently elevated position for display purposes prior to purchase and prior to any initial use, (b) is propellable by a first cam system from the display position to a position of maximum pomade projection upon first actuation, (c) is then automatically transferable from the first to a second cam system, and (d) is thereafter actuable only via the second cam system to provide selective propel-repel swivel-lipstick action over an extended propulsion range, said extended range including retraction to a full extent which is below the elevated display position.
