Abstract

The invention relates to new tetrahydroquinoline derivatives which are intermediates useful in the preparation of anti-ulcer agents. The new derivatives have formula (I) ##STR1## wherein M is sodium, potassium or lithium, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are the same or different and represent hydrogen, or a lower alkyl, or a phenyl radical, and any of R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 may be a gem-di-lower alkyl radical.
