Abstract
Novel polyurethane elastomers having excellent physical properties are prepared utilizing as chain extenders aromatic diamine compounds having the general formula ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen, C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl, halogen, C.tbd.N, CF.sub.3 or SO.sub.2 --Z wherein Z is C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl, several of which diamine compounds are hitherto unknown in the art.
