Abstract
D-Penicillamine and salts thereof may be prepared by reacting certain aryl amines with 4-thiazolidinecarboxylic acid compounds obtained by splitting the .beta.-lactam ring of penicillin derivatives such as benzylpenicillin or phenoxymethylpenicillin.
