Abstract

Dicyclododecyl peroxydicarbonate of the formula: ##STR1## is stable and can be stored at room temperature. It has a high solubility in organic solvents and good compatibility with unsaturated polyester resins. This compound is an improved polymerization initiator for free radical polymerizations of ethylenically unsaturated monomers, including copolymerization with monomers capable of copolymerizing therewith. This compound also is a catalyst for curing unsaturated polyester resin compositions.
