Abstract
2-SUBSTITUTED-1,3-DIAZACYCLIC COMPOUNDS OF THE FORMULA: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group or a lower alkoxy group; R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkoxycarbonyl group, an aliphatic acyl group or an aromatic acyl group, the aromatic ring of which may have one or more substituents selected from a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group, an acyl group and an acyloxy group; R.sub.3 represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a lower hydroxyalkyl group or an aralkyl group; R.sub.4 represents a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or an aryl group; R.sub.6 represents a cyclohexyl group, a pyridyl group or a phenyl group which may have a substituent selected from a halogen atom, a lower alkyl group and a lower alkoxy group; A represents -N.dbd., an -N(lower alkyl)- group or a methylene group; n represents an integer of from 2 to 4, and a dotted line indicates that a double bond is optional; salts of such derivatives; and the method for preparing such compounds and their salts; the compounds and their salts having a distinct anti-diabetic activity in humans and animals.
