Abstract

A glass panel is maintained in spaced relation to an existing window mounted in a fenestration by securing the panel to an abutment mounted on opposed sidwalls and top wall of the fenestration. The glass panel is coated to reduce passage of solar energy and/or radiant heat. Outside noises are dampened by providing (1) a resilient gasket between the abutment and the panel and (2) a resilient glazing foot between the bottom side of the panel and fenestration ledge.
