Abstract
Process for coating a substrate with a heat-curable coating composition comprising a compound having labile hydrogenation groups, a compound having unsaturated carbon-carbon or epoxy groups, and a carbamothioate curing agent. Heat-curing of the coated substrate above the critical temperature initiates formation of mercaptan and isocyanate curing units from the carbamothioate curing agent which curing units react with said compounds to cure the coating. In preferred embodiments the coating composition is dispersed in water, a fugative organic solvent, or is a powder coating.
