Abstract

Therapeutically useful A-nor-androsta-3(5),16-dien-2-one derivatives of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represent a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, process for their preparation by dehydrating in the 16-17 position a corresponding 17-hydroxy compound, and pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of dermatological disorders, which comprise, as an active ingredient at least one of the A-nor-steroids as defined by formula I, are disclosed.
