Abstract

A heat and pressure consolidated structure comprising, in superimposed relationship, (A) a self-supporting substrate, and (B) a decorative .alpha.-cellulose paper sheet impregnated with a composition comprising (1) a blend of an aqueous melamine/formaldehyde resin solution and from about 2% to about 20.0% of an ethylene glycol or (2) an aqueous solution of the resinous reaction product of melamine, formaldehyde and from about 2.0% to about 20.0% of an ethylene glycol, is disclosed.
