Abstract
A process for producing vitamin B.sub.12, which comprises cultivating a vitamin B.sub.12 -producing micro-organism of the genus Arthrobacter under aerobic conditions in a culture medium containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of alcohols with 2 or 3 carbon atoms and ketones, and separating vitamin B.sub.12 from the culture broth.
