Abstract
A novel cyanotriphenodioxazine compound is disclosed which is represented by the following formula: ##STR1## wherein X represents cyano or halogen, R.sup.1 represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkylene and R.sup.2 represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl and is a dyestuff suitable for dyeing synthetic fibers or cellulose acetate fibers in brilliant red shade with good fastness to light and to sublimation.
