Abstract

A telephoto lens system consists of a first convergent group and a divergent group disposed rearwardly of the first group for forming a substantially afocal converter, and a second convergent group disposed rearwardly of said divergent group. The first convergent lens group and the divergent lens group are movable relative to each other along the optical axis of the lens system for effecting focusing.
