Abstract
Molten metal sampling devices and methods in which a pair of mold halves, held together with a spring clip provide a sample having a generally large portion with a stem and a pair of smaller laterally offset smaller portions joined to the larger portion by thin severable connecting elements. Cylindrical and 'T' shaped deoxidizing elements are also disclosed.
