Abstract
A product obtained by reacting an alkanolamine represented by the formula ##STR1## where R is methyl, ethyl or hydroxymethyl and R.sup.2 is hydrogen, methyl or hydroxymethyl, with oiticica oil at ambient temperatures or above having utility as a dispersing agent in water-based paints.
