Abstract
Tenacity and boiling water shrinkage of poly(arylene sulfide) fibers are improved by a heat treatment at temperatures of at least about 100.degree. C (212.degree. F) but below the temperature at which fibers begin to stick to each other, for a time period sufficient to attain desired tenacity or boiling water shrinkage.
