Abstract
The disclosure relates to a fastener for use in highly stressed connections particularly in environments and with materials susceptible to stress corrosion or delamination. The fastener is installed in aligned openings in abutting components and exibits an interference fit therewith to maximize fatigue life of the connection. The interference fit is controlled in a unique manner.
