Abstract

An improvement upon the making of colored photosensitive glasses via the exposure thereof to high energy or actinic radiation followed by heat treatment thereof, the improvement comprising conducting the exposure of the glasses while such are at a temperature between about 200.degree. - 410.degree. C. to thereby considerably shorten the time required for developing color and to produce colors of very high intensity.
