Abstract

Homogeneous, solidified molasses can be successfully obtained by concentrating under heat molasses, oils and fats and/or higher fatty acid esters at a temperature of between 110.degree. and 175.degree. C in the presence of alkali in such an amount as to regulate the pH value of the molasses in the range of between 8 and 12.
