Abstract
The present invention relates to 4' amino-4' desoxy-oleandrins of the following formula (I) ##STR1## in which R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 may be the same or different and represent hydrogen or a lower alkyl group with 1 to 4 carbon atoms or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together with the nitrogen atom form a pyrrolidino, piperidino, or morpholino radical; as well as the physiologically compatible acid addition salts thereof. These compounds possess positive inotropic cardiac activity and are useful in cases of renal insufficiency.
