Abstract

New phenyl thiol carbanilide derivatives of the present invention are represented by the formula ##STR1## where X represents a lower alkylsulfonyl, a lower alkoxycarbonyl, a N-lower alkylcarbamoyl, a lower alkylcarbonyl or an O,O-dilower alkyl thiophosphonyl, Y represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine or a lower alkyl, Z represents hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, a lower alkyl, a lower alkoxy or trifluoromethyl and m represents 1 or 2. The compounds have excellent fungicidal activity against fungi which cause diseases of plants.
