Abstract

Hydrocarbons are reformed with steam in the presence of, as catalyst, an activated metal screen containing a major portion of nickel. Preferably a non-aromatic hydrocarbon is reacted with steam over inconel metal catalyst at 1200.degree. F-1400.degree. F and 0-300 psig.
