Abstract

In order to improve the ignition of the fuel-air-mixture provided in the combustion cylinder at a low fuel expenditure the displacement member of a first fuel pump is coupled with an armature of an electro-magnet and at the same time an air supply conduit of the combustion engine is provided with a second atomizer supplying fuel to the air. In this combustion engine the first atomizer may inject fuel in a finely divided condition in the vicinity of the spark-plug, so that the extra rich fuel-air-mixture can be ignited easily in the vicinity of the spark-plug as a result of which the combustion of the remaining, relatively poor fuel-air-mixture takes place.
