Abstract
A compound of the general formula ##STR1## wherein Z is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; and R.sub.2 is a lower alkyl group or a phenyl group, which may have one or more lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, nitro, phenyl or trifluoromethyl groups or one or more halogen atoms as benzene substituent is found to be useful as a herbicide selectively combating weeds belonging to barnyardgrass of Gramineae and to Cyperacceae, without causing any phytotoxicity to rice plants.
