Abstract
Compounds of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents hydrogen, lower alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, halogen, hydroxyl, lower alkoxy having 1 to 4 carbon atoms or trifluoromethyl; R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are the same or different and each represents hydrogen or a lower alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms; Y represents an alkylenethio group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, alkyleneoxy having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or alkylenedioxy having 1 to 6 carbon atoms; Z represents a carboxyl group or a group convertible to carboxyl and n is 1 or 2. The compounds have utility in treatment of hyperlipemia and diabetes.
