Abstract

Described herein are mono-quaternary ammonium salts of hydantoin having the formula: ##STR1## wherein: ONE OF R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 is hydrogen or lower alkyl of 1 to 6 carbons and the other is ##STR2## R.sub.3 and R.sub.4, which may be the same or different, are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 6 carbons, phenyl or taken together R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 may be a cycloaliphatic group of 4 or 5 carbon atoms;
